Housatonic Museum of Art Conservation Program
Conservation is a core responsibility of the Housatonic Museum of Art and an important part of the Museum's mission. Minimizing deterioration of art objects through proper management is the basis of preventative conservation in any museum collection. The HMA’s collection is a treasured resource that fuels almost all of its activities including exhibitions, educational programs and publications. Preserving and protecting the collection is one of the most important ways that the HMA serves its students and the public.
